Stuffed Bell Peppers

Stuffed bell peppers are a timeless favorite — hearty, flavorful, and endlessly customizable. With tender peppers filled with a savory beef and rice mixture, topped with tomato sauce and melted cheese, this dish makes a comforting weeknight dinner or a crowd-pleasing meal for family gatherings.

Ingredients
4 large bell peppers

1 lb ground beef

1 cup cooked rice

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Peppers
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove seeds and membranes. Trim bottoms slightly if needed so they stand upright.

Step 2: Cook the Filling
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add onion and garlic; sauté until softened.
Stir in ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
