Chicken Teriyaki And Rice

Step 1: Prepare the Rice

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions.
  2. Fluff with a fork and set aside, keeping it warm.

Step 2: Cook the Chicken

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cubed chicken.
  3. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly golden and fully cooked.

Step 3: Build the Flavor

  1. Add garlic and ginger to the pan (optional).
  2. Stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in:
    • Teriyaki sauce
    • Soy sauce
    • Honey or brown sugar

Step 4: Glaze & Simmer

  1. Reduce heat to medium-low.
  2. Let the sauce simmer for 3–5 minutes, stirring gently.
  3. Sauce will thicken and coat the chicken beautifully.

Step 5: Assemble

  1. Spoon rice into bowls.
  2. Top generously with teriyaki chicken.
  3. Drizzle extra sauce from the pan over the rice.
  4. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
